MINNEAPOLIS, December 15, 2010 – Jake Stewart, a PhD graduate of Capella University (http://www.capella.edu), an accredited online university* that has built its reputation by providing high quality online degree programs for working adults, has received the 2010 James R. Snyder International Student Paper of the Year Award from the Project Management Institute’s (PMI®) Educational Foundation. Stewart, who earned a PhD in Organization and Management from Capella, was honored for his paper "The Impact of the Project Management Office on Information Technology Project Success," which explores whether companies with project management offices (PMO) experience better IT project success. That paper was based on the dissertation he completed for his Capella doctorate.
Stewart is a professor in the Paul R. Carter College of Business Administration at Harding University in Arkansas.
