PhD graduate of Capella University, an accredited online university, receives Presidential Management Fellowship
Judy Kenney, who earned and online PhD in Organization and Management, will serve as a Management Analyst with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management
MINNEAPOLIS, June 4, 2010 - Judy Kenney, a PhD graduate of Capella University, an accredited online university* that has built its reputation by providing high quality online degree programs for working adults, has received a Presidential Management Fellowship. More than 37,100 students are pursuing an online degree at Capella University (http://www.capella.edu), with 32 percent enrolled in Capella's doctoral degree programs, and 48 percent enrolled in Capella's master's degree programs.
The Presidential Management Fellows Program was created for outstanding men and women from a variety of academic disciplines and career paths who have a clear interest in, and commitment to, excellence in the leadership and management of public policies and programs. Kenney will be working as a Management Analyst with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management beginning in July.
"The Presidential Management Program is designed to develop future leaders, and I am honored and thrilled to be taking on this challenge," Kenney said.
Kenney recently returned from Iraq, where she spent four years working as a human resources professional and educator. While in Iraq, she completed her PhD in Organization and Management from Capella University.
