Capella University, an accredited online university, recognized for its online library tutorial
For the second time, the Association of College and Research Libraries recognizes the online university’s library for its exceptional use of online instructional materials
MINNEAPOLIS, March 30, 2010 - Capella University, an accredited online university* that has built its reputation by providing high quality online degree programs for working adults, received recognition for another one of its online library tutorials. The online university’s library tutorial "Finding Resources for Your Dissertation Literature Review: Leaving No Stone Unturned" was recognized for its exemplary use of online instruction materials by Peer-Reviewed Instructional Materials Online (PRIMO), a committee of the Association of College and Research Libraries Instruction Section and American Library Association. The committee promotes and shares peer-reviewed instructional materials created by librarians to teach people about discovering, accessing and evaluating information in networked environments. In 2009, PRIMO recognized Capella University for its Library Research Handbook online tutorial.
Capella University students have access to a full range of online academic library resources and services. Librarians for the online degree provider along with its extensive library web site, provide students with a comprehensive collection of scholarly and professional resources. Capella University alumni have ongoing access to the library’s recourse alumni to support their continued academic and professional development.
