Graduate of Capella University, an accredited online university, named CEO of Carton Donofrio Partners advertising agency
Ellen Moore earned a master's degree in psychology from the online university
MINNEAPOLIS, March 24, 2011 – Ellen Moore, a graduate of Capella University (www.capella.edu), an accredited online university* that has built its reputation by providing high quality online degree programs for working adults, has been named CEO of Carton Donofrio Partners, an advertising agency in Baltimore. Moore has worked for the agency for 10 years, most recently as chief operating officer. She succeeds Chuck Donofrio, who will remain chairman of the company's board of directors. Moore earned a master's degree in Psychology with a specialization in Industrial / Organization Psychology from Capella University in 2004. As of Dec. 31, 2010, more than 39,000 students are pursuing an online degree at Capella, with 31 percent enrolled in Capella's doctoral degree programs, and 47 percent enrolled in Capella's master's degree programs.
"I absolutely use what I learned at Capella every day," Moore said. "Our onboarding process for clients is based on one of the papers I wrote for group development theory at Capella."
Moore adds that she was pregnant when finishing her degree at Capella, but her daughter came 15 weeks early, weighing just 1.9 pounds. She finished her final project while her daughter was in the intensive care unit of the hospital.
"Capella was really flexible with helping me finish my last class while on bed rest and dealing with a premature birth. I would get up at 5 a.m. and work on my degree until noon, and then stay the rest of the day at the hospital. But I finished on time and today, though my daughter has some disabilities, she is doing great!"
Based in Baltimore, Carton Donofrio Partners is a full-service integrated advertising agency that employees approximately 50 people.
