Faculty Chair at Capella University, an accredited online university, is named to St. Lucie County Education Foundation board

MINNEAPOLIS, March 23, 2010 - Lori LaCivita, PhD, interim faculty chair of Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Capella University, an accredited online university* that has built its reputation by providing high quality online degree programs for working adults, has been named a board member of the St. Lucie County Education Foundation. Nearly 34,000 students are pursuing an online degree at Capella University (http://www.capella.edu), with 33 percent enrolled in Capella's doctoral degree programs, and 48 percent enrolled in Capella's master's degree programs.

The St. Lucie County Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 1990 to promote, encourage, and recognize excellence in public education in the St. Lucie County School District in southeastern Florida. The St. Lucie County School District has grown from 10 to 19 schools in the past three years while improving quality measures. The Foundation helps fund district scholarships, programs, and initiatives not supported by tax revenues.
