Capella University to Host its 16th Commencement Ceremony
The online university will hold its commencement ceremony in Jacksonville March 13-14
MINNEAPOLIS, February 17, 2009 - More than 550 students will be graduating from Capella University (www.capella.edu), an accredited*, fully online university, Saturday, Mar. 14 at the Times Union Performing Arts Center Moran Theater in Jacksonville, FL. The event will feature a keynote address from sociologist and award winning lecturer Bertice Berry. This is the online university’s 16th commencement ceremony.
"It's an extraordinary achievement to earn a degree under normal circumstances," said Chris Cassirer, president of Capella University. "Many of our students have done so while working, caring for a family and contributing to the community. They have shown drive, determination and persistence in the pursuit of their educational dreams."
Capella's commencement ceremonies are held twice a year in locations across the United States. The next ceremony will be held in Minneapolis, August 7-8.
