Program Manager of Accreditation #6207

This new position will provide operational support for cross-functional initiatives that maintain the university's relationship with key external stakeholders including specialized accreditation, state approvals, state regulatory and professional associations. The three primary accountabilities for this position include annual planning, coordination of specific events and organization of common templates and processes. This role will work closely with the Vice President of Academic Quality and with team members in the following functional areas: the President's Office, School leadership, Assessment and Institutional Research, Regulatory Office, Curriculum Office, Events and Legal. The Accreditation Program Manager reports to the Director of University Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain and publish schedules and timelines for key milestones, events and deliverables.
  • Manage a resource plan for events that require university participation
  • Coordinate teams to deliver an annual budget for required and proposed initiatives
  • Manage the cost center for cross-functional initiatives
  • Coordinate site visits with the events team, academic leadership and other key stakeholders
  • Schedule and facilitate working sessions and planning meetings
  • Manage dependencies, keep project teams on track and escalate issues
  • Communicate status to key internal stakeholders
  • Ensure that the right stakeholders are at the table for decision making
  • Collect, review, archive and index previously created deliverables
  • Identify commonalities in upcoming requests for documentation
  • Recommend formats, standards and processes to enable the reuse of documentation
  • Assist subject matter experts with creating documents that conform to approved standards

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required with a Master's degree preferred
  • Four years of work experience in Higher Education or commensurate experience in a related agency
  • Working knowledge of the requirements for one or more professional accreditations
  • Highly organized with the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to lead meetings and drive initiatives to completion
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Independent and self motivated with experience managing projects

This position is based in Capella's corporate headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota and relocation assistance is not provided.
